IndieBound is a webstore that may at first resemble other online book retailers, but it is not.  While still offering the convenience of the online experience, Indiebound is about the independent bookstore, supporting community and discovering what readers want. That is what readers actually want, not what they are told by large companies with shiny bestseller displays that say, essentially "buy me, you must read or you will be out of the loop."

Jump out of the loop (sorry about mixing that metaphor) but jump over to IndieBound. Not only can you find books, you can promote your favorite authors, or better yet, your favorite local bookstore.

That is another awesome feature of IndieBound. They encourage you to get out there and support your local bookstore. No "buy here or else" about it. It is more of a "Run! Run and show the love!" idea.


IndieBound shows the best of the web, something online, but something out there in the  real (albeit scary) world.
